Hope 4 Sudan Special Projects
You can help Hope4Sudan efforts by donating to Special Projects, which provides school equipment, uniforms, and other ministry tools. The Hope4South Sudan Primary School is known for excellence in a country where the illiteracy rate is estimated at 80 percent. The school has been recognized as having the best teachers by the county education board. The Hope4South Sudan students sat for the first-ever standardized testing and finished first in the whole county. The new nation of South Sudan mandated a time for religious study in their schools, and Hope4Sudan developed curriculum that was selected to be used throughout the county. The school began in 2008 with only kindergarten and first grade. Each year, as the children advance, a new grade is added and the school now serves grades K-6. Students are fed a healthy meal at school each day--likely their only meal in an entire day. Evangelism is expanded through use of solar powered technological innovations similar to MP3 players, allowing recorded audio of the Bible and story recordings in the native language to be taken and shared in the villages. These units are invaluable in South Sudan!
