The Hellands work in Brazil with Project Amazon (PAZ) and are extensively involved in one-on-one personal discipleship, house churches, ministry to slum children, and training in power evangelism (including healing and prophetic ministry). Their local PAZ church in the city of Fortaleza distributes about four tons of food every month to the poor. PAZ is an IPHC partner and has the largest social outreach ministry of any evangelical movement in Brazil, with a fleet of over 100 boats that travel up and down the Amazon River doing medical and dental ministry along with church planting. PAZ has planted almost 1,000 churches in Brazil and is discipling over 150,000 new believers who have been won to Christ.
