Mabuhay from the Philippines! The past year has been a time of adjustments for us. However, most of our activities are now held in the face-to-face setup, but there are still a number of activities for which we use the virtual world.

I have been able to teach for the School of Ministry in Makati, using Zoom, on the books of Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Lamentations. I am currently partnering with Rev. Al Argo in preparing a series of lessons on the Old Testament that will be shown to the SOM students in Cebu. These lessons will cover all of the books of the Old Testament. There will be both video and PowerPoint presentations that will be available to anyone.

Remy serves as the assistant pastor of the Pentecostal Holiness Church in San Jose de Urquico, Tarlac City. She also continues to serve as a member of the Central Luzon Conference Board, the Adviser for the CLC Youth Quest, and CLC representative to the PPHC National Board.

This past February, Ethan was installed as the Vice President for the CLC Youth Quest. With COVID restrictions eased, they were able to hold their first youth camp in two years this past Holy Week. The camp, with the theme “Making Disciples,” had almost 400 young people in attendance.

They drew around 200 young people on June 17 to “Arise” in the Northwest district of our conference and on July 19, they had “Arise” in the Central District, with around 300 young people attending. On August 6, they held “Arise Together,” with almost 500 young people in attendance.

Ethan is also continuing his music ministry in Urquico, where he leads worship once a month. He also plays the keyboard for the worship team every Sunday, and for the Youth Quest worship team during youth camps and conferences.
